Today we had a busy day for Georgia Claire! Shelby's family-his Mom & Dad, his sister Heather, and his Grandma came for a visit today. We had a great time! They had not seen her for two weeks and couldn't believe how she had changed. Shelby grilled for lunch and after we pigged out, we enjoyed a little R&R with Georgia Claire. We don't know what we all did before she was in our life! We sat around, watched her, laughed at her, took a ridiculous amount of pictures, passed her around and were all perfectly happy doing so! Also, some dear family friends, Rick & Rita, drove over and spent the afternoon after a hot morning at Canton. They had not met Georgia Claire and we were so excited they came! It was such a treat! BUT, it was an extremely busy day for our baby girl.
As I was getting her ready for bed after everyone left, she was screaming! Her little face got so red and she did the silent cry thing...you know the one, where babies open their mouths but no sound comes out at first and then WHAM! It came out and it was the loudest cry we have heard her make since she has been here! Poor baby girl! I really just think that she just got off her normal routine and she was just exhausted. She fell asleep in less than 5 minutes of me holding her and she is now snoozing in the bassinet. I don't think we'll hear a peep from her until early morning.
The pictures below show us...our FIRST picture posed as a family, Shelby's dad Barry, his mom Paula, his sister Heather, and his grandma Christine. This was grandma's first time to meet little Georgia Claire. I think it's official and evident in all of the pictures-everyone is in love!
