Best Fwends

This morning, out of the blue, Georgia Claire said, "Ibee Jane's my best fwend!" Ahhh...talk about making my heart melt! I love this picture of the best fwends from last week...
And later she tells me, "Momma, I so happy!" while I was washing dishes, and Ivy Jane was pulling at my shorts. I stopped, dried my hands, and sat in the middle of the floor and loved on my two precious girls, who needed a little one-on-one Momma loving. Ivy Jane got sick last night, started throwing up, but is finally over that part...thank goodness! I guess she has a stomach bug. Whatever it is, I want it to go FAR FAR AWAY! The washer & dryer have been working overtime the past 24 hours...sheets, mattress pads, blankets, towels, pj's, onesies...you name it, it's probably been washed today at our house! I'm praying Georgia doesn't get the bug. She's always SO sweet to Ivy Jane, but has been especially sweet today, getting her a blanket or a baby or whatever she thinks she needs to make her feel better. That's really every day around our house though, I guess. She's always taking care of her, always making sure she has everything she needs. (Don't get me wrong, there are times, which are few and far between, when they cry over a toy or book or something they both want...we usually have a fit, and then we're over it!) If I give Georgia a snack, she says, "Ibee Jane wants a snack, too!" If I give Georgia a cup of milk, she says, "Ibee Jane wants milk, too!" Today, Georgia was playing a little preschool game on my Kindle Fire (which Shelby gave me for Valentine's Day...thanks, Honey!) and she gave it to Ivy Jane to play. This is what I heard from the couch, "You did it, Ibee Jane! Way to go! I so happy!" Love it...

And then there's the random lying on the dining room floor pictures...it was too cute not to get my camera! They were walking around with their blankets and pillows and just decided to rest for a bit. Georgia's talking went something like this, "You lay down, ok Ibee Jane? I cubber you up so you can sweep. Night night! I yub you!"

God is so good. I have two sisters, who are my best friends, and I am SOOOO looking forward to watching these best fwends grow up together! I have to get in bed...hoping for a much quieter night tonight!

Daddy/Daughter Valentine's Banquet

In my book, there is not a lot sweeter than a little girl who LOVES her Daddy! Georgia Claire & her daddy had a date tonight. Our church hosted a Daddy/Daughter Valentine's Banquet tonight, and Shelby & Georgia attended. Although she may have been a little bit too young, we thought it would be a good excuse for a one-on-one date for both of them. I found her a "fancy dress" on sale at Dillard's today & she was so excited she wanted to put it on as soon as we got home from MDO. When her daddy came home she ran to the door to meet him and said, "I put on a fancy dwess & you put on your clothes & we going to eat supper but Ibee Jane & Momma are staying here! OK, Daddy?!"

She doesn't nap well at MDO, so normally on Mondays & Fridays she's in bed about 7:30. At 5:30 she was already laying her head on our bed...
Shelby called me from the car & said she was snoring on the way! A 20 minute nap & she was better!

This is her "pose"--notice her hands!
Happy girl & happy Daddy!
I love these two so much!
A "BIG KISS", as Georgia Claire says...
They ended up leaving the banquet a little early & Shelby took her to Toys R Us. She picked out a "bathtime baby" for herself and a baby with a paci for Ivy Jane!

She is a precious little girl who loves her Daddy & I'm afraid she is wrapped around his little finger! I hope she always knows how special she is to both of us, but ESPECIALLY her Daddy!

18 Months

Ivy Jane...25.5 pounds...hilarious, strong-willed, smart, happy...just to name a few! As of February 5th, she is 18 months old-wow! Georgia takes care of her little sister, and Ivy Jane lets her. They have the cutest relationship. She is talking up a storm, putting words together like "Hold you" and "Bye bye Daddy" and "I yuv u". She pretty much says anything she wants, and it is very clear! The funniest thing that she does right now is say "Uh-uh" when she really means "Yes!" (Shelby says she's already a typical female...no means yes!) If we ask her if she wants to do something and she really does, she'll say, "Uh-uh" and bounce up and down!

Just some sweet pictures of her the last few days...

Sleepy girl in her pj's wanting to read books early in the morning...
Her favorite thing to do is play peek-a-boo in our curtains...
This past Sunday she climbed up in this chair with Goodnight Moon and sat there until we were all ready to go to church!
We love you, Ivy Jane! You are such a fun and loving addition to our family! I cannot believe you are 18 months old...

Sweet Pumpkin

Georgia Claire & I had a date tonight! After supper she and I went to Target & got Princess & Minnie Mouse panties & M&M's, along with a few other things. I decided it might be an even better idea to go ahead and buy the panties. I wish I had a video of her face when we found the panties at Target! She opened her mouth, gasped, and said, "Pwincess ones AND Mickey (actually Minnie) Mouse ones!" The rest of the time she held on tightly to them. After we got those we headed over to get a bag of M&M's for a special treat when she is tries. She wanted to get out of the shopping cart & walk. We got lots of looks as she was walking several steps behind me, insisting on carrying both packs of panties AND the bag of "M's", as she calls them. She even said loudly, "Momma, I have my Pwincess panties and my Mickey Mouse ones and my M's!!!" We got in the car & I asked her if she wanted to get ice cream and in this little whisper said, "Yessss." So, we headed to the ice cream shop...

She REALLY enjoyed her "chocwate ice cweam". Here are some of the things she told me while we were sitting there-"I did it!" when she ate a spoonful of ice cream and when I ate some she said, "YAY! Give me high five!" Then she said, "I so happy eating my ice cweam!" Then, the sweetest, "It's yummy BB, thank you! Give me a big hug & a big kiss!" She has been an absolute angel the last few days. Last night she was loving on Shelby and she said, "I yub you sweet pumpkin!" Shelby calls her a "sweet pumpkin" a lot...I guess she has picked up on it!

This Friday night Shelby and Georgia have a date at the "Daddy Daughter Valentine Banquet" that our church is hosting. I can't wait to hear how the "sweet pumpkins" enjoy their night out together!
