First Weekend of Selling Trees with Georgia!

The Christmas tree season of '09 started this past Friday and Georgia Claire was quite the little trooper! Here she is helping sell trees...hanging out with Grandma & me in the building...
Dad had a hard job, as you can see...with his youngest two granddaughters! The kids were SO excited to be at the farm again!
Santa Claus (aka Paw Paw) showed up at the farm, too! =) Dad bought the Santa suit several years ago and showed up at his side of the family's Christmas get together. It was priceless! SO glad he brought it out again! Dad's heart surgeon wanted to see a picture of him in his Santa suit on a tractor...well, Dr. Hebeler, here you go!
Santa with Smokey...such a good beagle. We say that Dad should have named him "Shadow". He follows Dad everywhere and whimpers and cries when he leaves without him! Such a good boy!
Paw Paw, or Santa, with his three granddaughters. Caroline knew it was Dad in the suit but she was NOT too happy! Look at her face! Her latest funny thing to say...she told Kathy & Andy the other night that the Wicked Witch of the West was "fooky and scawee" (spooky and scary). When Dad put on his Santa suit she said he was "Fooky Paw Paw"! Hahahaha!
And Georgia Claire FINALLY got to meet sweet Penny & Katy! They are sweet girls that I have known their whole lives...twins, born & raised here in good 'ol East Texas! They are as good as gold, HILARIOUS, and SO very talented! Their singing and instrument playing is like none other...banjo, guitar, mandolin, piano, etc! They have been in Nashville now for about 2 years and are currently working at the Grand Ole Opry. They, along with their older brother Ben, just signed with Sony Publishing to write music! I just know that they, collectively known as "Ida Red", will be a very successful group one day! God is going to bless them for their faithfulness to Him!

With Penny...
And Katy...
We love you, PK! Georgia is still waiting for that lullaby!

  1. what fun!

i was confused, i thought the little girls that were on your dad's lap were the talented twins. but then i kept thinking that they didn't look like twins and that they looked an awful lot like your nieces.

    i'm such a nerd!
